I slapped the car into gear, swung onto the highway and
headed west.
From the community in which we live, Millarville, Alberta,
you can see the
Canadian Rockies looming massive and white-capped on the
horizon. We
followed a two-lane highway to the trans-Canada, and then
followed that for
an hour, driving through the National Park gates, and then
on into the town
of Banff, and ultimately to the historical Canadian Pacific
hotel where the
conference was being held.
We met our friends, Jim and Janice Armitage, at the front
door of the hotel.
Jim and I were going to spend the day with Dan Sullivan, a
business
strategic coach with whom I'd been working for eight years.
Janice and Dawn
would spend the day cross-country skiing. This was early
April, after all,
nearing the end of the season, and the sun was blazing down
in a bright blue
sky.
