wanted to put in writing how much I appreciated your beautiful book Searching For Sam, and how moved I was by it. I have never before read anything so powerfully compelling, so honest, so courageous, so starkly beautiful. Your intense experience of personal loss is certainly not unique in the annals of human experience. However, I truly believe the way that you and Dawn walked (and continue to walk) your personal journey of grief and love by honouring and experiencing fully your feelings is rare, awesome, and truly inspiring. And now by expressing openly and sharing with the world what this deeply personal journey really looks like, what the possibilities are for those who have the courage to grieve openly, and freely, the power behind your quest for meaning behind Sam's departure becomes available to people everywhere. For those who are ready to open their hearts to the glorious realities of Spirit, and the grand possibilities of the universe, it might very will be their first introduction, and thereby their first step into their own healing process.

You know that Sam lives on, in the geese, in the butterflies and all life around you. And perhaps with this book, the true purpose behind his departure will begin to be realized.
